We also know that God can deliver us from such sadness and bring rejoicing and restoration. Such an occasion occurred in August 2004 as the First Southern Methodist Church of Dallas, Texas closed its doors and deeded the property to the General Conference.  Instead of selling the property to another group to start a church, the Lord placed a burden upon our hearts to try and stop the decline in Southern Methodist churches. God brought a young minister into our denomination who was willing to step out on faith and begin a new work in Dallas. Rev. Erick Chepkwony and his family accepted the call to move from Atlanta, Ga. to Dallas and to re-establish a Southern Methodist work.  We are happy to announce that <B>Victory Fellowship Southern Methodist Church</B> held its first service on Sunday October 31, 2004 (just <U>one day</U> after Rev. Chepkwony arrived in Dallas!). Please pray for Rev. Erick, his wife Joyce, daughter Mercy (age 6 years) and son Dan (age 3 years) as they serve our Savior. AgapeWeb.Net offers affordable web pages for churches in particular. On each website there is a place for a picture of your church, a picture of the pastor, a place for the street address of the church, and a place for the pastor to write a message. There is also a place for directions to the church, a place for church announcements, a place for the regular weekly schedule, and two contact pages (one contact page for the church office, and one for the pastor). All this is provided for $5.00 a month! You don't have to be a web guru to operate AgapeWeb's user interface and there's no HTML knowledge needed.
